Wes uses a range of massage techniques per treatment as described below to suit your needs and bring about a sense of well-being.

"SWEDISH MASSAGE"
Considered to be a soothing technique that decreases sympathetic nervous system firing and reduces pain perception , it tends to have a reflexive effect on the circulatory system because of the lightness of pressure

"MYOFASCIAL TECHNOQUES" focus on reducing pain and hypertonicity on a superficial level , great for reducing adhesions and scar tissue , mostly used without the application of oil.
Fascia is a continuous sheet of supportive connective tissues that envelops the entire body. Strong and mobile .

"TRIGGER POINT THERAPY" releases painful tissues that creates a temporary local ischemia(inadequate blood supply) followed by reactive hyperaemia(excess blood flow), it helps to flush metabolites that cause nerve irritation and pain . Once the pain cycle is broken hypertonicity and spasm also diminish, it is another way to help muscles relax and is also great for helping sinus congestion when applied around the nasal cavities .

"DEEP TISSUES"- doesn’t always refer to the amount of pressure used , but the techniques involved to reach structures that are deeper than surface level.

JOINT MOBILIZATION - refers to Manuel techniques that are used to modulate pain and treat joint impairments that limit range of motion by specifically addressing altered mechanics of the joint . The altered joint mechanics may be due to pain and muscle guarding, joint effusion(excess fluid in the joint space) , contractures (a condition of shortening or hardening of muscles and tendons ) or adhesions (internal scar tissue) in the joint capsule or supporting ligaments .

"HOT STONE "- similar affects of Swedish Massage but the rate of results are increased due to the application of heat on the body which increases local circulation .
